Songbirds Studio believes that music should be accessible to all young people. The power of music to promote confidence, social cohesion, and positive well-being in children is undeniable.
For families who may not be able to cover the full cost of tuition, our Supported Lessons Program offers needs-based financial assistance so every child has the opportunity to experience the joy of learning music.
Each year, we provide support to up to four children who have a passion and desire for music but who, for financial reasons, are unable to afford lessons or would have difficulty covering tuition fees.
The program may cover the full cost or part of the cost of tuition, registration and materials fees, and event/performance-related expenses (approximate value up to $2,000 per student per year).
We welcome applications from all families, including those from Indigenous and migrant backgrounds.
If your child or someone you know between the ages of 6 and 16 would like to be considered for our Supported Lessons Program (music lesson financial assistance), please fill in the application form below.
All applicants will remain on the application list and may be considered for future intakes if a place is not available immediately.

Applications will be kept confidential.
If you’d like to help more children access music lessons through our Supported Lessons Program, you can contribute directly to the fund. 100% of contributions go towards covering lesson fees, materials, and performance costs for families in need.
While contributions are not tax-deductible, every dollar makes a real difference for a young person’s access to music education.
