While every music school should offer fun and engaging lessons suited to young students foals and insterests our studio endevours to be standout in its ability to enage young learners and take them on the journey of music!
Many studios are also full of young musicians, however, they don't always incorporate child pedagogy! I have dedicated my studies and continuing education to exclusively training the young singer and children as musicians. Children are not mini-adults and cannot be taught this way - there are many physical differences, especially in the pre-pubescent singer. This means it's not just about coming to a lesson and learning a new piece or song and going home but nurturing the student as a whole.
Not only do we specialise in teaching children but my background is also in psychology and enables me to bring the best of both worlds to Songbirds Studio by building strong, confident, and resilient young singing and piano students who can incorporate these skills outside of the lesson too!
It can be really challenging to begin singing lessons or piano lessons, really any new venture for a young child, it takes a lot to overcome the challenges along the way but as we overcome those challenges together children are learning invaluable skills and building their confidence and of course musicianship skills along the way!
Your child will learn via a specialised curriculum in either Singing or Piano, which is then personalised around their goals and will cover technical work, repertoire, musicianship, rehearsals, and performance coaching.
Our goals are to build a love and understanding of the art of music so unlike traditional lessons, students won't be aimlessly singing songs and doing scales while not understanding why, instead they will be understanding the heart of their instrument, giving them the power to unlock their full potential.
At Songbirds Studio we love teaching and engaging with young learners, but maintain a professional standard while ensuring that students are learning in a fun and engaging environment, getting maximum benefit and value from there time with us while learning strong fundamental technique skills, gaining knowledge, and confidence along the way.
